Historical Significance:

The original owners of this home were Mr. and Mrs. Rubin Hamlin. They arrived in California in 1901 and in 1904 purchased 16 city lots in Glendora for about $3,000. He was a prominent business man in the industry of citrus farming and helped to form the local Association. He was the first man to send oranges to the White House during the Taft administration. The house is now the home of the California State Society Headquarters. Information from the California State Society Headquarters DVD.
