DAR members come from a variety of backgrounds and interests, but all share a common bond of having an ancestor who helped contribute to securing the independence of the United States of America. Any woman 18 years or older, regardless of race, religion or ethnic background, who can prove lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolution is eligible to join.

The Daughters of the American Revolution is an organization with a deeply rich history while also being truly relevant in today’s world. More than 930,000 women have joined the organization since it was founded close to 125 years ago. 123rd Continental Congress Photos

I hope everyone enjoyed their week at Congress as much as I did! It was wonderful to celebrate the successes of the first year of the administration and plan for the future. I have spent the past few days trying to catch up on rest and enjoying time with family. I can’t help but share just a few photos from the evening events with you all. The ceremonies at Constitution Hall were very rewarding and moving. Our brand new Celebrate America Night at the Grand Hyatt was also a great success and attendees seemed to enjoy something a little different  and I know we all had a lot of fun.... Read More
