DAR Members can help build the DAR Museum’s decorative arts library!
Museum curators use this library to research items in the collection and to plan exhibitions. Educators, registrars, and the shop manager use books in their fields to keep abreast of best museum practices, and to better serve the collection and our visitors. The Museum’s library is available also to DAR docents, students, and the general public.
DAR Members have the opportunity to give books by donating funds for their purchase. Books may be given in honor or in memory of loved ones, DAR members, chapters, or to commemorate an event. A bookplate with the credit line of your choice will be put in each book you donate and the donation will be listed in the Curator General’s quarterly report.
Simply select a book from the list below, then contact the Museum at (202) 879-3241 or at firstname.lastname@example.org to be sure your book has not yet been given.
