The National Society is seeking a full-time (40 hours per week) Security Officer and On-call/contingent secruity/events staff to join the NSDAR Security Department.
Duties involve greeting visitors, issuing visitor passes and operating security equipment; ensuring safety and security protocols are followed, responding to emergencies, making initial assessments of situations, patrolling and securing premises and performing routine security functions including opening/closing of the building complex.

This unique position offers candidates the opportunity to hone their research skills in early American genealogy, with a focus on Revolutionary War patriots. Primary responsibilities focus on examining and evaluating lineage-based information provided on DAR membership applications or supplemental applications, and corresponding with prospective members or Chapter Registrar if further documentation is needed.
