    The National Society headquarters seeks a fulltime Application Developer in the Information Systems Department to develop, maintain and implement ASP.NET programming functions, and write SSRS reports for use with DAR’s member management (iMIS) and genealogy research (GRS) websites.

    The National Society is seeking a full time Documents Specialist to work in the Data Entry Office of the Registrar—the department charged with reviewing and processing genealogical data for membership.

    Duties include processing all incoming applications by performing preliminary review of applications for completeness of genealogical information, inputting the data into appropriate databases, creating bar-coded cover sheets, sorting and scanning genealogical documents into OnBase software, and coding application papers based on established criteria.

    The National Society has a full-time genealogist position available in the Registrar’s Office.  This unique position offers candidates the opportunity to hone their research skills in early American genealogy, with a focus on Revolutionary War patriots.  Primary responsibilities focus on examining and evaluating lineage-based information provided on DAR membership applications or supplemental applications, and corresponding with prospective members or Chapter Registrar if further documentation is needed.

    The National Society is seeking temporary contract staff to shelve books and materials in the Library during the NSDAR’s annual convention (Continental Congress). 

    This is a temporary assignment for one week only, beginning Monday, June 13th through Saturday, June 18th, 2016, from 10:00 to 5:00 PM.  An orientation will be held on Monday, June 13th from 9:00 to 10:00 AM. Full-time preferred (maximum 40 hours) but flexibility or part-time hours may be available.
