The Maryland Room
(Click photo for larger image)

The Maryland Room, a late 1830s parlor in a wealthy household, is designed to show a family member performing a musical recital on the harmonicon to entertain guests. On the walls we see hand-painted scenic wallpaper depicting the French Revolution of 1830, a reminder to Americans at the time of the fight against tyranny.
