After looking at many venues in the D.C. area for her wedding, our daughter chose DAR [Memorial] Continental Hall. She was looking for a venue with a timeless elegance, one that was spacious, one that provided spectacular city views of D.C., and one that had a knowledgeable staff to help guide her through the planning of the event. We were absolutely pleased with all of the above! The wedding ceremony was outside on the terrace and portico facing an illuminated Washington Monument—what a sight! The reception was in the DAR Library and dinner afterwards in the O’Bryne Gallery, with dancing continuing back on the terrace. It was a completely magical evening! If you are searching for THE venue to have a classy, elegant, “D.C.” wedding, look no further than the DAR [Memorial] Continental Hall—it will be an event to remember!

DAR is a timeless Washington venue that we love presenting to our clients. The staff is flexible and accommodating and the events spaces are beautiful and versatile. The National Center for Policy Analysis hosted an event at DAR this past December 2013. The staff and facilities were fabulous. From beginning to end the events manager handled everything so beautifully. She recommended musicians, photographers and, best of all, the best caterer for our event.
