ADULT: This symposium brings together regional quilt experts to discuss the latest in research about late 18th and 19th century quilts from Maryland and Virginia. Speakers are Barbara Brackman, quilt historian and author of Encyclopedia of Pieced Quilt Patterns; Deborah Kraak, Independent Museum Professional; Alden O’Brien, curator, DAR Museum; Ronda McAllen, quilt historian and author of “Jewish Baltimore Album Quilts”; Bunnie Jordan, quilt historian, appraiser and co-author of Quilts of Virginia; Debby Cooney, quilt historian and editor of A Maryland Album; Virginia Vis, quilt historian and conservator.
