Historical Significance:

Stone House was built 1806 - 1809, and operated as the Cross Keys Tavern on the Wilmington Pike, State Rt. 350, by Capt. Benjamin Rue from 1809 - 1820.  It is located at a ford (now a bridge) over the Little Miami River.  From 1821 - 1941 it was owned by a number of farmers.  In 1941, the property was purchased by YMCA Camp Kern and the house restored between 1961 - 1976.
