The DAR Museum, located in the NSDAR Headquarters, collects, preserves, and interprets objects used and created in American homes. Using the lens of the varied interpretations of home, we inspire conversations about the diverse American experience encouraging people to discover common ground. We collect furnishings, ceramics, glass, textiles, and household items that were made and used in America through the early 20th century.

You can explore a main gallery with an exhibit that changes annually, and a study gallery where you can get close to the museum objects on your own and we have guided tours of the period rooms (each arranged to look like a different time and place in American history) on the hour. NOTE: Period Rooms are only available through guided tours.
