DAR Constitution Hall Lobby Restoration
Restoration work on DAR Constitution Hall (built 1929) is underway to address critical failures in the lobby ceiling and in the behind-the-scenes mechanical (heating, cooling, lighting, etc) and life safety systems. These urgent needs have also presented opportunities to revive the historic character of the building’s public spaces. Specific attention will be paid to the 475-foot-long lobby of Constitution Hall. The restoration work is being supported by The Guardian Trust Campaign which is a two-fold effort to meet the immediate restoration needs at Constitution Hall while also establishing a permanently restricted endowment to ensure that our exquisite complex of buildings are always taken care of.
