DAR Headquarters, including the DAR Museum and DAR Library, will be closed to the public on Saturday, June 13 
due to street closures and access restrictions connected with an area event. Additionally, street traffic and parking 
in the area will be significantly restricted in the days leading up to and following the weekend events.

Description
The Lake Tahoe Chapter, NSDAR will participate in the South Lake Tahoe Fourth of July Parade, a beloved community tradition enjoyed by thousands of local residents and visitors each year.

The chapter’s entry will feature a float depicting George Washington crossing the Delaware, one of the most iconic moments of the Revolutionary War. Chapter members and their families will help design and build the float, with participants portraying General Washington, oarsmen, and Continental soldiers.

This historic scene honors the daring 1776 crossing that helped turn the tide of the Revolutionary War and remains a powerful symbol of American perseverance and leadership.
