Description
The Alexander McNair Chapter, NSDAR will unveil a new bronze marker at the base of a dogwood tree planted last year in Monett City Park in honor of America 250!
The ceremony will include music, prayer, a proclamation from the Mayor of Monett, posting of the colors by an SAR Color Guard, and greetings from local legislators, followed by a reception.
In celebration of Flag Day and the nation’s 250th anniversary, 250 American flags will be displayed on the hillside as part of the decorations.
The bronze marker reads: “Alexander McNair Chapter, DAR, America 250!, 1776–2026.”
