DAR Headquarters, including the DAR Museum and DAR Library, will be closed to the public on Saturday, June 13 
due to street closures and access restrictions connected with an area event. Additionally, street traffic and parking 
in the area will be significantly restricted in the days leading up to and following the weekend events.

Join us in a “Walk Through History” highlighting the role Maryland, and particularly Frederick County, has played in the birth and development of our nation. Come, See, and Discover!

The opening ceremony will begin with remarks from local and state dignitaries as well as special guests. Following the opening, you will be able explore a whole lineup of historic venues and organizations, each bringing the past to life in their own unique way. You’ll meet passionate reenactors, chat with experts in period attire, and step straight into the stories that shaped our history. The following is a list of participating organizations and venues.
