Description
The Mary Little Deere – Ft. Armstrong Chapter, NSDAR, created and installed a four-case exhibit at the Moline Public Library to commemorate America 250! Each case explores a different facet of Revolutionary-era history:
• The American Revolution - Displays a community signed copy of the Declaration of Independence and a life size image of Benjamin Franklin.
• Illinois Country - Examines events in Illinois during the Revolution and features a replica uniform and drum made by a chapter member.
• Rock Island Area - Interprets the role of a local Native leader, tells the story of the westernmost conflict of the Revolutionary War, and includes original works by local artists.
• Patriots, Founders, and Spies - Honors lesser known patriots, illustrates spy-craft of the era, and presents a replica Colonial style dress.

This display is free and open to the public.
