In celebration of the 250th anniversary of the United States, the Fort Harrison Chapter, NSDAR will host a public dedication ceremony featuring the unveiling of a Patriot Marker and the planting of a Liberty Tree.
This meaningful event honors the sacrifices of those who fought in the American Revolution and helped establish a new nation. The marker will serve as a lasting tribute, offering future generations a place to reflect on our shared history. Special recognition will be given to the 33 Patriots buried in Vigo County.
The program will include remarks from DAR representatives, city and county officials, and a presentation by the Sons of the American Revolution.
This event is free and open to the public. Guests are encouraged to bring a chair for their comfort.
