Description
In celebration of America 250!, the George Taylor Chapter, NSDAR invites the public to experience Heritage Day in Easton, Pennsylvania, commemorating one of the first three public readings of the Declaration of Independence, which took place on July 8, 1776, in Easton alongside Philadelphia and Trenton. As part of the celebration, visitors are invited to enjoy a free tour of the historic Parsons-Taylor House, where Signer George Taylor spent his final days.

Heritage Day blends history, culture, and community in a family-friendly festival featuring historical exhibitors, reenactments, and educational opportunities highlighting local, regional, and national history. The day also includes live music and a lively block party atmosphere, offering something for all ages.

The 2026 Heritage Day celebration is especially meaningful as the nation commemorates America’s 250th anniversary and honors Easton’s important role in the story of American independence. The event is free and open to the public.
