The Knauss Homestead Guided Tours, PA

The Knauss Homestead DAR Chapter will be participating in giving guided tours of the Knauss Homestead to the public. Built in 1777, this was the home of Heinrich and Anna Maria (Ehrenhardt) Knauss, where they raised 9 of their 13 children (4 died young). Heinrich Knauss built the house for his father Sebastian, who was a founder of the borough of Emmaus, but Sebastian passed away before the house was completed. Heinrich is an established patriot of the American Revolutionary War, having served as a private.
