Description
The Jacob Gaskins Chapter, NSDAR will host a Liberty Tree Dedication Ceremony to commemorate America 250! The chapter has partnered with the City of North Canton to plant a swamp white oak on land once owned by the chapter's namesake, Jacob Gaskins, who operated an Underground Railroad station on the property. Today, the site is owned by the City of North Canton and is home to the Arrowhead Golf & Events Center.
The dedication ceremony will celebrate the significance of the Liberty Tree as a lasting symbol of freedom, patriotism, and the nation's 250th anniversary. This outdoor event is free and open to the community and the general public. Seating will not be provided, and attendees who require seating are encouraged to bring their own portable chairs.
