DAR Headquarters, including the DAR Museum and DAR Library, will be closed to the public on Saturday, June 13 
due to street closures and access restrictions connected with an area event. Additionally, street traffic and parking 
in the area will be significantly restricted in the days leading up to and following the weekend events.

Community members are invited to join the Los Altos DAR Chapter and the Adult 50+ Program of the City of Los Altos Recreation Department when we make cards for the military. DAR will provide all the materials to hand-craft cards with an Independence Day theme, and suggest encouraging messages to write to our troops. You bring your creativity and use our patriotic-themed materials to make cards to support our servicemembers in their deployment.

July 4, 2026 will be the 250th birthday of our nation, so these Independence Day cards will be extra-special!
No RSVP needed; this is a drop-in event.
