Description
Join Ambrose Meador Chapter, NSDAR, as Meade County, Kentucky officials plant a tulip poplar—the Kentucky state tree—on the grounds of the Meade County Courthouse. The chapter will organize and host a formal dedication ceremony, inviting the entire community to take part in this meaningful America250 commemoration.
The program will include the posting of the colors, the singing of “The Star-Spangled Banner,” and participation from local schools, Scout troops, and representatives from Fort Knox.

Designated as a "Liberty Tree," the tulip poplar will stand as a living tribute to America’s 250 years of freedom and to the Patriots whose courage secured our nation’s independence.

This event is free and open to the public.
