Description
The Freelove Baldwin Stow Chapter, NSDAR, in partnership with the Milford 250 Planning Commission, invites members of DAR, SAR, SR, and CAR to participate in Milford's America 250 celebration. Participants should gather at 9:30 a.m. at the Parsons Complex parking lot for the 10:00 a.m. parade step-off. Attendees are encouraged to wear colonial attire or patriotic colors, and hand-held American flags will be distributed for the approximately 45-minute walk.
Following the parade, readings will take place at the Gazebo on the Green, followed by Milford's annual Juneteenth celebration and the community's kickoff to summer festivities, culminating with a fireworks display. A flyover is also planned as part of the day's events. Organizers anticipate a particularly large turnout, as the community's Memorial Day parade was canceled due to inclement weather.
Parking will be available after 4:00 p.m. at the Chapter House, located at 55 Prospect Street, Milford, Connecticut, for a suggested $10 donation. The location offers convenient access from Interstate 95.
