Join the DAR Library for the return of our Speaker Series.  Mary V. Thompson, author of “The Only Avoidable Subject of Regret”, the first comprehensive account of those enslaved at Mount Vernon, will speak about the daily life and conditions of the enslaved community at Mount Vernon.  Thompson will also discuss reactions and acts of resistance to these conditions.
