A Constitutional Conversation at DAR Constitution Hall
Join us for a special DAR member event hosted in DAR Constitution Hall on February 26, 2020. DAR President General Denise Doring VanBuren will lead a conversation with Judge Douglas H. Ginsburg, a national authority on the U. S. Constitution with 30 years of experience on the Federal Court of Appeals, to discuss the importance and relevancy of the Constitution today. Judge Ginsburg is the host of “A More or Less Perfect Union,” a new three-part documentary on PBS, which tells the story of how the framers put freedom in writing, delving into past, present and future struggles for liberty through the lens of the U.S. Constitution.

DAR has long been committed to promoting the U.S. Constitution and to encouraging people to learn more about our nation’s governing document, so we are honored to have Judge Ginsburg discuss the series in depth with our membership. The evening will include clips from the PBS series. Join us on Wednesday, February 26, 2020, at historic DAR Constitution Hall, built as our memorial to the U.S. Constitution.
This will be an intimate event in DAR Constitution Hall, exclusively for DAR members and their guests, in order to show appreciation both for Daughters’ dedication to promoting the U.S. Constitution as well as generous support in preserving historic DAR Constitution Hall. Seating is limited, so make sure to take advantage of this unique opportunity and reserve your free tickets now.
A coffee table book, Voices of Our Republic, was created as a companion to the documentary series, edited by Judge Ginsburg and featuring DAR President General VanBuren. Limited edition copies of the book, personally signed by both Judge Ginsburg and President General VanBuren, will be available for sale at the event.
