The Daughters of the American Revolution and the Friday Morning Music Club will host a lunchtime concert Friday, June 27, 2003 at 12 noon in the O’Byrne Gallery at the DAR National Headquarters. The one-hour program will consist of African American selections, Spirituals, and music by women composers. Special guest Virginia E. Hayes Williams, the mayor's mother, along with Dr. Raymond Jackson and Dr. Sharon Shafer will perform. This program is in conjunction with the DAR Museum exhibition Forgotten Patriots: African American and American Indian Service in the Revolutionary War. Free and open to the public.
