Historical Significance:
Louisa Catherine Adams was born 12 August 1811 and was the daughter of John Quincy and Louisa Catherine Adams, who were in St. Petersburg as the First American Ambassador to the Court of the Russian Czar. Little Louisa was the first American Citizen born in Russia. On September 20, 2012, exactly 200 years after the death of the toddler the members of the DAR Chapter dedicated a new gravestone in her honor.
