Historical Significance:
The J. Huston Tavern also known as the "Arrow Rock Tavern" or the "Old Tavern" was built in 1834 by Judge Joseph Huston, one of the town's original commissioners. The Tavern was originally called the City Hotel. Huston added a store and second floor ballroom around 1840. It is the oldest continuously operating restaurant west of the Mississippi.
