Historical Significance
This is the site of the signing of the First Women's Suffrage Bill in the United States by the First Territorial Legislature on December 10, 1869. The site was first marked by the Cheyenne Chapter NSDAR on July 21, 1917, the plaque was restored by the Cheyenne Chapter, NSDAR, in September 2019. The original building, the Thomas McLeland Building was removed many years ago.

Acknowledgement
The building is privately owned by Jim and Sue Byres, permission was obtained to have the restored Tablet relocated in a public location on the side of the building at the Carey Avenue Location.
