Members of the Council Oak Chapter celebrate its 100th anniversary.

The Council Oak Chapter, Council Grove, Kansas, celebrated its 100th anniversary throughout the year with April selected as a public event attended by Daughters from across the state. The dignitaries in attendance included Denise Bullock, outgoing State Vice Regent and now State Regent; Sherry Smith, Past State Historian; and Valerie Bothell, State Historian. Guests toured the Post Office Oak Museum, including the cellar. 

In December, the chapter celebrated with a meal at the Trailside Inn. Guest speaker Pastor Daneale White, a prospective member of the Abilene Chapter, shared the message “Jesus is the Reason for the Season.” The December celebration was just 19 days before chapter member Delma Boyer turned 100 on Christmas Day.
