DAR Headquarters, including the DAR Museum and DAR Library, will be closed to the public on Saturday, June 13 
due to street closures and access restrictions connected with an area event. Additionally, street traffic and parking 
in the area will be significantly restricted in the days leading up to and following the weekend events.

Preserving and Celebrating Patriot Stories

The DAR Pathway of the Patriots preserves and celebrate the legacy of 250 patriots in preparation to celebrate America 250! The DAR Pathway of the Patriots serves as a living tribute to honor the memory and the spirit of the men and women who achieved American Independence. This project is privileged to plant250 trees along the pathway and adopting them to continue the legacy of these Revolutionary War Patriots.

They were different from one another from the very beginning: some served in militias, while others enlisted with the Continental Army; some came from big cities and others from small towns; some were soldiers, sailors or spies, while others were civilian officials or behind-the-scenes supporters.

As a highlight of exciting preparations for the upcoming 250th anniversary of the United States of America, the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution is creating the “DAR Pathway of the Patriots.” The DAR Pathway of the Patriots serves as a living tribute to honor the memory and the spirit of the men and women who achieved American Independence. This project affords the privilege of planting 250 trees along the pathway and adopting them in memory of Revolutionary War Patriots.
