DAR Headquarters, including the DAR Museum and DAR Library, will be closed to the public on Saturday, June 13 
due to street closures and access restrictions connected with an area event. Additionally, street traffic and parking 
in the area will be significantly restricted in the days leading up to and following the weekend events.

In celebration of America 250!, the Jonathan Gilbert and Smoky Hills Chapters, NSDAR, will host a joint event with Kansas State Regent Denise McNickle Bullock. Participants will create a commemorative eagle painting, honoring the American bald eagle as a symbol of freedom and national pride. This hands-on gathering blends creativity and camaraderie, offering a meaningful way to reflect on our nation’s founding and celebrate 250 years of independence together.
