Patriots and Pages

The Portsmouth Public Library will come alive with patriotism and community spirit this summer as it, in partnership with the Joseph Spencer Chapter, NSDAR, hosts a special America 250! celebration, Patriots and Pages. Taking place on July 2 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., this festive, birthday-style event invites families and community members to honor the nation’s upcoming 250th anniversary in a warm and welcoming setting.

Guests can enjoy light refreshments while gathering for an evening centered on the love of country and the joy of reading by chapter members. A featured book reading will highlight America’s rich history and the stories that have shaped its legacy, making the event both meaningful and engaging for all ages.

Patriots and Pages is more than just a birthday party—it is a tribute to America’s past, a celebration of its present, and an inspiration for future generations to continue the story.

The Joseph Spencer Chapter, NSDAR, will be donating America 250! kid-friendly books to Library at end of night, as well as a standing banner with JSC Patriot's names to be displayed throughout the year.

This event is free and open to the public.
