DAR Headquarters, including the DAR Museum and DAR Library, will be closed to the public on Saturday, June 13 
due to street closures and access restrictions connected with an area event. Additionally, street traffic and parking 
in the area will be significantly restricted in the days leading up to and following the weekend events.

The public is invited to the annual Memorial Day event at the Iowa Gold Star Military Museum at Camp Dodge. Hosted by the Camp Dodge Chapter, NSDAR, the event will feature an interactive educational display highlighting the Declaration of Independence.

Enjoy family-friendly activities commemorating America’s 250th anniversary while honoring the courage, sacrifice, and enduring legacy of those who secured our nation’s independence. Guests will also have the opportunity to reflect on the meaning of liberty and the responsibilities that accompany freedom.

Life-size cutouts of George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, and Thomas Jefferson will offer engaging photo opportunities and help connect visitors with the leaders who shaped America’s founding.

Event is free. Visitors must show photo id at the gate for entrance to Camp Dodge.
