DAR Headquarters, including the DAR Museum and DAR Library, will be closed to the public on Saturday, June 13 
due to street closures and access restrictions connected with an area event. Additionally, street traffic and parking 
in the area will be significantly restricted in the days leading up to and following the weekend events.

Description
Join the Old St. John's Church Chapter, NSDAR for a reading of the Declaration of Independence by chapter members and community leaders. The program will also include music played on the Old St. John's Church 18th century replica organ with audience participation in the singing of patriotic songs. Historian Bill Palmer will speak on Carter Braxton, a local signer of the Declaration of Independence. Boy and Girl Scouts will present the colors and read the names of the signers.

This event is free and open to the public.
