The Worthington Chapter, NSDAR and the Benjamin Franklin Chapter of the SAR are joining together to do a Reading of the Declaration of Independence on the Worthington Village Green on Wednesday July 8th 2026. Please assemble at 5:30 PM and the reading by volunteer members of the DAR and SAR groups will begin at 6:00PM. This is an America 250! celebration event and it is part of a nation wide event that is a re-enactment of the first reading of the Declaration of Independence to the people on July 8, 1776, groups across the nation are reading the Declaration simultaneously beginning at 6:00 PM. The Worthington Village Green is located at the intersection of OH-161 (Dublin-Granville Rd) and High St in Worthington OH 43085 and the Reading will happen in the NW quadrant of the park. Please bring your foldable lawn chair or blanket.
