Description
The Mary Slocumb Chapter, NSDAR, warmly invites you to attend our America 250! program on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 2pm at Centre Presbyterian Church in Mooresville.

We are honored to welcome Dr. Tony Zeiss as our guest speaker as he presents “From Resolve to Revolution: Voices of Young Patriots,” an inspiring look at the contributions and sacrifices of young people during America’s founding era. Through the powerful words of the Mecklenburg Declaration, the Halifax Resolves, and the Declaration of Independence, this program traces the growing call for freedom in early America. As these historic voices unfold, we turn to the often-overlooked stories of young patriots whose courage and conviction helped shape a nation. Their words—and their witness—remind us that the fight for liberty was carried by a rising generation.

With the historic church, cemetery, and Old Session House as our backdrop, the afternoon will offer a powerful blend of education, remembrance, and appreciation for the sacrifices of America’s early patriots.

Our co-hosts, the Mooresville Museum, will also be offering guided tours of the historic cemetery before and after the presentation at 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Guests are additionally invited to tour the Old Session House, an important and fascinating piece of local history.

Following the presentation, we will enjoy a time of fellowship together, and several awards will also be presented during the program. It promises to be a wonderful afternoon of history, patriotism, and community.

Thank you for your support, and we hope to see you there!
