Description
The Spier Spencer Chapter, NSDAR has commissioned a special musical work by renowned choral composer Pepper Choplin for this event, to be held on June 27, 2026, at Lincoln Amphitheatre in Lincoln City, Spencer County, Indiana.

The program will feature the Posting of the Colors by the Knox County SAR, followed by a recitation of Lincoln's Second Inaugural Address presented by Abraham Lincoln impersonator Dean Dorrell. A 30-minute choral performance by the Celebration Singers, joined by the Southwest Indiana Cantata Choir, will include patriotic and faith-based selections, culminating in the debut of the newly commissioned Pepper Choplin composition, “Thank You for the Blessings.”

The program will conclude with the Return of the Colors and a benediction. Portions of the DAR Ritual may be included, depending on timing.

No tickets are required for this event. Attendees are also invited to remain for the Lincoln Amphitheatre’s regularly scheduled final performance of “A Pioneer Song,” which will be offered free of charge.
