Description
Join Schuylkill Township neighbors and friends for a community celebration of America’s 250th anniversary. Experience a public reading of the Declaration of Independence as it was proclaimed in 1776 and step back in time to explore 18th-century colonial and military life.

The event will feature historic games, crafts, and military challenges, along with opportunities to learn about Schuylkill Township’s remarkable historic sites. Visitors will also have a limited opportunity to tour Moore Hall, one of the township’s oldest homes.

Enjoy food, family fun, and giveaways throughout the day.

Hosted by the Schuylkill Township Historical Commission and Board of Supervisors, the event will also be supported by the Valley Forge Chapter, NSDAR, whose members will host a welcome table. Additional details and Moore Hall tour reservations will be available on the Schuylkill Township website beginning in April.

This event is free and open to the public.
