Description
Visitors will experience the sights, sounds, and spirit of the American Revolution on Saturday, June 20, 2026! Located in Court Square of historic Woodstock, Virginia, those attending will discover the life of Revolutionary soldiers and their followers with a Dragoon Regiment also attending.  Distinguished authors and experts will give lectures on the Declaration of Independence, bygone 4th of July celebrations, Peter Muhlenberg, the 8th VA regiment, Historic Trappe, Dunmore Resolves, and more.  Reenactors will portray Peter Muhlenberg, Patrick Henry, Marquis deLafayette, and Daniel Morgan. Living history exhibitors will share period weaving, gunsmithing, basketry, blacksmithing, leather working, shoe/boot making, woodworking, surveying, tape looming, and more. Dulcimer performances and drummer & fife will delight all participants.  18th children's games and crafts will be available. Celebration will also include asking visitors to learn and participate in Colonial era dancing. 
The Narrow Passage DAR Chapter will sponsor children's crafts and will volunteer in various capacities throughout the day.  This celebration is part of Shenandoah County's America 250 events.
