Description
The Isaac Van Wart Chapter, NSDAR, has created a beautiful Patriot Float in celebration of America 250! that will appear in parades throughout the City and County of Van Wert. The float showcases local Revolutionary War history and honors the patriots whose actions helped secure American independence.

Featured on the float will be colonial-costumed chapter members, Betsy Ross sewing the first American flag, and a portrayal of Revolutionary War patriot Isaac Van Wart. Also on display will be individually 3D-printed busts of Revolutionary War heroes Isaac Van Wart, John Paulding, and David Williams.

The chapter played a key role in researching and bringing these busts to the community in October 2025. When not traveling with the DAR or the county commissioners for educational programs and special events, the busts are displayed at the Van Wert County Museum Annex on Main Street.

Join us as we celebrate America's 250th anniversary and share the stories of the patriots who helped shape our nation's history.
