Description
The City of Watkinsville will host two special community events as part of the America 250 celebration.

The festivities begin on June 6, with a family-friendly celebration at Wire Park, located at 1725 Electric Avenue. This daytime event will feature historical reenactors, vendors from the Oconee Farmers Market, kids’ games and activities, and live music. Designed to engage residents of all ages, the event will offer an opportunity for families to come together in a festive and educational atmosphere.

The Reverend John Andrew Chapter, NSDAR, will be in period dress, have a booth promoting Patriot Lookups, Georgia Revolutionary War battlefield locations, and the history of our locally buried patriots. We will also assit the William Daniell Society, N.S.C.A.R. with their Revolutionary War History Scavenger Hunt inside the Library and with their children's activity table.

This event is free and open to the public.
