Description
The Henry Walton Chapter, NSDAR, of Madison, Georgia, will host a public community reading of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 2026, in celebration of our nation’s 250th anniversary. The program will feature readers of all ages—from high school students to veterans—coming together to give voice to this founding document.
Co-sponsored by American Legion Calvin George Post 37, the event will also include patriotic music and a color guard. Supported by the City of Madison, the program will take place on the Town Park stage and is open to the entire community.
