Historical Significance:

This Log house in nearly unaltered condition has two stories. The interior staircase to the second floor is 22 ft. wide by 26 ft. long. It was built in 1840, lived in for 36 years and stood empty for 36 years. The Washington Chapter acquired this property in 1912 with some of the original furniture still on display.
