Acknowledgements: Collaborating with the Greater Lewes Foundation and the property owner to have the growth cleared and for delineation of the cemetery. We will continue to maintain the property with ongoing headstone repair and cleaning, and vegetation control.

The Wiltbank Family is historically significant in Lewes DE. Helmanius Wiltbank and his family arrived in Hoornkil (now Lewes DE) in 1663 and was given a land grant by the Duke of York in 1670. His great grandson, John was born in 1731. In 1777, John was commissioned major of the Sussex County Military Regiment and military treasurer for Sussex County.
John Wiltbank is a recognized patriot by NSDAR Ancestor #A127935 and buried there. His son, Cornelius and Cornelius' wife, Ann Hudson Wiltbank are also buried here along with 8 others.
