Washington County
Cabindale Road
Gray, TN 37615

Historical Significance:

William Bean was an early (1769) settler in Northeast, TN. After constructing a cabin on the banks of the Watauga River he brought his family here. His wife gave birth to a son, Russell, soon after moving here. This was the first recorded birth of a white child to permanent settlers west of the Appalachian Mountains.
