HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE
The Alfred Dunk House, also known as the Dunk-Brinker House, was built about 1853. It is the only example of Carpenter Gothic architecture in the Binghamton, NY area. It has the board and batten siding on the exterior. It has an extremely steep pitch of gable, which is decorated with scroll sawn barge boards and surmounted by its original finial and pendant in the Carpenter Gothic Style.
