HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE

It was the first parish of the Church of England (Anglican) in Pennsylvania. It is also the church where the American Episcopal Church was born during the American Revolution. This Church was the first to join the patriot cause. Christ Church continues to hold services and has an active congregation.
