HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE
Built around 1850 by Sarah Gould Henderson. It was purchased in 1874 by Henry Miller then sold to George R. Fox and remained in the Fox family. His wife, Mary, ran a doll hospital at this site until shortly before her death in 2003 and is locally known as the Doll Hospital, Fox House, now Henderson House. The property was purchased by Henry H. Spire, restored by his nephew, David Early.
ACKNOWLEDGMENT: Harrisburg Chapter NSDAR uses the house for committee meetings, genealogy workshops, award ceremonies, and small functions. It is open to the public 12 times a year.
