Using our collections to understand the past and share it with others is an important part of the DAR Museum’s mission. School tours, scouting programs and summer camps for kids ignite interest in American history at an early age. Programs designed using national learning standards help reinforce classroom lessons and a traveling trunk program brings hands-on objects, activities and lesson plans to teachers. Family events build memories and offer opportunities for parents to learn alongside their children. The DAR Museum encourages life-long learning through adult lectures, tours and workshops on a variety of topics.
