The National Society has internships available year around in a variety of departments, but are generally matched with college semester schedules for students seeking internships to fulfill college course work credit.  Internships are unpaid but in some cases may include a small weekly stipend.

    Description:

    The intern will standardize the database entries for accessories in the clothing collection, to ensure that each object is cataloged correctly, has a clear image, and that the database contains all necessary information about the object. The intern will work with the curators and registrars to ensure that the information is correct and is cataloged appropriately.

The intern will work with the curators and registrars to ensure that the information is correct and is cataloged appropriately.

    Eligibility: Undergraduate or Graduate Student

    Description:

    The intern will work with the Assistant Curator of Education to develop presentation content and training materials for outreach volunteers (Correspondent Docents). With a volunteer core of approximately 250, Correspondent Docents present lectures on DAR Museum collections at different locations across the country.
